Mecenate Palace is a terracotta coloured hotel comprised of two 19th century buildings. It is just steps from Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore, five blocks south of Termini rail station, and two kilometres from the Roman Forum and the Coliseum. With a décor of warm hues of gold and burgundy, flowing draperies and richly patterned fabrics, the 62 air conditioned guestrooms feature grey marble bathrooms with bidets and phones, and all include cable TV, safes, minibars and coffee makers.
