A tree lined country villa located in the hilltop village of Solomeo, Locanda Solomeo Country House is 12 kilometers from Perugia and 180 kilometers from Rome. The 12 air conditioned guestrooms feature English style décor with floral fabrics, stenciled borders, period furnishings and tiled floors. All rooms have views over the valley and work desks with dial up Internet connections, as well as direct dial phones, cable television and minibars.
Hand made pasta, typical regional specialties such as Sagrantino Gnocchi and Umbrian and Tuscan wines are served in a candlelit, relaxed ambience with exposed stone walls and country furnishings in the hotel restaurant. Sightseers will enjoy the numerous attractions of Perugia, the nearest town, 12 kilometers from the hotel. As well as shops and restaurants, attractions in Perugia include the National Archaeological Museum and the Piazza 4 Novembre, where the 13th century Priors' Palace, the Gothic Cathedral and the Great Fountain are to be found. Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO is 200 kilometers from the hotel. There is an hourly express train service to Rome's Termini station. From here it is possible to get a connecting train to Perugia and then a taxi to the village of Solomeo. Taxis are also readily available outside Rome airport and will cost approximately 250 Euros for a journey all the way to Solomeo, but take a licensed metered taxi only. An airport surcharge is payable.
