The Hotel Nettuno is a modern property adjacent to a rocky beach and opposite majestic Mount Etna, located 600 metres from Catania's historic town centre. As well as the nearby beach, guests can visit the shops, bars and streets of the historic and modern centre, which are both 600 metres away. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 14 kilometres from the hotel. Taxis are readily available outside the Arrivals terminal and should cost in the region of 25 EUR, each way. The best way to get around the historic centre is on foot. There is also a good bus and subway network. Tickets for both are valid for 90 minutes and must be purchased beforehand from tabacchi (tobacco stands and news kiosks. Bus passes are valid on the metro and metro tickets are valid on the AMT bus network.
